Does Melt PM help with weight loss?

Yes! When used in conjunction with a healthy and active lifestyle, Melt PM as a deep sleep supplement can support weight loss efforts during the evening hours while your body is at rest. 

It does this in a few ways but primarily by promoting deeper, better sleep that allows the body to rest, restore, and rejuvenate its systems. How do I use Melt PM?

Melt PM is easy to add to your pre-sleep prep at night. If you have never taken a melatonin deep sleep supplement before, we recommend the following:

  • Take (1) capsule to assess your melatonin tolerance. Many people experience the full benefit of Melt PM with just 1 capsule a night!
  • If you find that (1) capsule is not enough, increase to the full dose of (2) capsules per night.
  • Be sure to take your capsule on an empty stomach, with a glass of water, around 1 to 2 hours before bed when your body’s natural melatonin levels increase.
  • Melt PM should be taken on a schedule of 5 nights on, 2 nights off

Why is Melt PM 5 nights on, 2 nights off?

Overusing melatonin for sleep support can lead to dependency or a loss of effectiveness over time because your brain receptors get desensitized to its effects. By only taking Melt PM for 5 nights in a row, and then breaking from it for 2 nights, this can help mitigate both issues and allow it to work more effectively over long periods of time. 

Are Melt and Melt PM the same?

No, Melt and Melt PM are two different products used for two different purposes.

Melt Thermogenic (both the powder and capsules) contains a stimulant called caffeine. Melt Thermogenic is taken for aiding in energy and focus as well as caloric burn and metabolism support for those on a weight loss journey.

Melt PM contains various sleep support aids such as valerian root and melatonin which help the body fall asleep. Melt PM is taken as a deep sleep supplement for sleep support and also contains other ingredients to help maintain an active metabolism while you sleep for further assistance in weight management.

While these supplements are different, they CAN be used in conjunction with one another by taking Melt Thermogenic in the morning or during the day before 3pm, and Melt PM at night before bed. This provides 24 hour metabolic support and can be an effective duo for those actively working on weight loss goals.

To prevent taking the wrong Melt at the wrong time of day, we recommend keeping Melt PM in or on your nightstand so it is only available to use when prepping for sleep. Melt Thermogenic should be placed with other products or items you typically use every single morning in your routine such as near your coffee machine, in your bathroom by other morning supplements, or in your kitchen around morning routine items.

What are some other things I can to do to prepare for sleep and get the best sleep possible?

There exists a plethora of articles and blogs across the internet on best practices for ensuring good quality, deep sleep. Here are a few of the tips we love and found the most helpful:

  • Limit daytime naps - if taking a nap, limit it to no more than an hour and try to avoid napping late in the day as extended napping hours can interfere with your nighttime sleep
    Stick to a sleep schedule - set aside 7-8 hours of sleep every night and try to go to bed at the same time every night
  • Save your bed for sleep - avoid habits like surfing the internet, watching tv, eating, or “doom scrolling” and reserve your bed for relaxation to help strengthen your brain’s association between your bed and sleep
  • Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol before bed - all of these things can negatively impact your sleep cycle in their own way. Caffeine especially should be avoided past 3PM as its effects can linger in your system for up to 6 hours after you consume it
  • Follow a nightly routine - calming practices such as reading, drinking non caffeinated tea, showering or bathing, meditating, listening to calming sounds or music … whatever your preference, make a habit and routine of it that you follow every night. By doing so, this signals to and prepares your body for sleep and can help you fall asleep faster
  • Get regular exercise - by keeping active during the day and maintaining a regular routine of exercise can help deepen sleep and contribute to overall improved quality of sleep
  • Unplug an hour before bed - by restricting exposure to artificial lights and mental stimulants such as tv, video games, computer screens, and phone screens we allow our brain to naturally wind down
